I simply couldn't resist painting this still life as it brings back so many memories of many years ago when we lived on a farm. I'd never worked so hard in all my life, but there were many times, when my two kids, ex-partner and I were in a field hand harvesting a shallot or parsely crop and I remember thinking I'd never felt closer to them than at those moments.
